When the application for the second batch went live, I was ready. Unlike what most would advise, I dove straight into the application portal without firing up Grammarly or a document editor. My strategy? Pure honesty. No AI-generated responses, just my genuine self.

The Application and Interview: A Nerve-Wracking Journey

Preparing for the interview was both exciting and nerve-wracking. I meticulously researched the program, diving deep into their website and past events. I prepared potential interview questions, practicing my responses out loud to ensure I wouldn't stumble.

April brought the email I had been anxiously waiting for – my selection as a Leapfrog Student Partner! Those nine months ahead seemed like an endless landscape of possibilities.

More Than Just Free Food and SWAGs

Yes, I'll admit – the free food and cool merchandise were fantastic perks. The stickers and notebooks I collected are now treasured mementos. But the real value was far beyond these tangible benefits.

The program was a melting pot of talent. My first event, "Git and Sangit," quickly dissolved my imposter syndrome. Highlights like Design Disco, 60 days of learning, Revampathon, and Frogtober fest weren't just events – they were transformative experiences.

The Unexpected Lessons
